Ok, so this blog wasn't intended for this sort of thing but i saw this picture on another blog earlier tonight and nearly died so i thought it was my duty to share it with the rest of the world, xo

So its appears that indie music is slowly becoming fashionable, which kind of takes away the whole purpose. Bands like the kooks and angus and julia stone are becoming more and more famous, but why? Is it because people really like the music or because they WANT to like the music. Are people finally catching on to the whole hippy is cool thing or are they for real. Theres many of us out there that have loved these bands and this whole concept far longer than the last few months and it's funny to watch others try to evolve to the idea. Is this just the latest craze or is it here to stay?

live hard, die fast.

So i was day dreaming today. You know, trying to figure out the meaning of life and all that, then i realised, life has no meaning until you give it one. Each life has a separate meaning but in the end none of these meanings matter. All our lives we fight death, but in the end theres nothing we can do, it just happens. So... then i start thinking why the hell do we all waste our lives worrying what others think of us, spending our money on things like make-up and fake tan. As if they can make our life better. We should be saving for things like good food, because in the end no one really cares if your fat. We should all be running around the world exploring, having fun because its good to be alive. Sometimes we feel like we've had enough but in reality, we're all privileged just to be here, all these amazing opportunities are all around us, yet some of us just sit and let them pass, making our lives meaningless. From now on i'lll try everything, because life should always be an adventure.

extremely heavy metal :S

heavy metal is an interesting subject. some people love it, whilst it gives others nightmares, but perhaps it's only a matter of understanding it. lets for a moment compare it to "emo" or gothic style. its not exactly girly or pretty, but simply trying to put a message across, a very, very angry message.iIt happens that tonight i attended my very first metal gig. i can no longer talk properly and there is a constant ringing in my left ear but other than these side affects, i surprisingly enjoyed myself. the painful facial expressions of the band and the head banging of the front row were a great combination and made for a very comedic experience. nobody i talked to admitted to actually enjoying the so called music, so i ask myself why my teenage generation is so obsessed? maybe you guys can help us out..comment your opinion on heavy metal and explain why you do or don't love it:) bye for now, love from your friends fuzzyblubird :) xoxo

the military trend, great or not?

this season we've seen the rise of many trends, some great some not so great.

one of the more popular of these trends is the military style, surely we've all seen and heard of it by now? the ugly coloured yet fabulous jackets, pants and coats are popping up on runways all over the world. however the trend is nothing new, it happens to have been on the rise for decades, and why not? the style is functional, preppy, put together and relatively comfortable, whats not to love? while some trends tend to burn out after a month or two this one wont be going any where because like all true fashion trends it has the ability to evolve. already there are many different takes on the fashion, there's the decadent style inspired by the military uniforms of the victorian era and the slightly more functional trend of the relaxed pieces inspired by the war costumes of the 20th century. we happened to have decided that both are great. they give a sense of power and strength.. but maybe thats just us? comment us with your favourite trends from this season:)

we've arrived.

that's right we've finally arrived, possibly the best thing to ever cross your computer screen.

just a simple blog, about all things great in life. nachos are quite great too, but we decided to not include that. another example of greatness includes sass&bide's new london store- opening on september 17. sass&bide, otherwise known as sarah-jane clarke and heidi middleton are two of australias most influential women, starting their very own label in 1999. the extremely successful duo's brand is recognised for it's quirkiness and over the top styling. they are all things great, and we love them. we salute you sass&bide, for giving us something to write about.
